1975, to consider the recommendations of the Planning <br />Commission, staff and interested members of the public; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Adopts and incorporates by reference the factual <br /> enumeration set forth in Planning Commission Resolution <br /> No. 1376. <br /> <br />Section 2. Adopts and incorporates by reference the recommenda- <br /> tions of the Planning Commission regarding the tenta- <br /> tively adopted General Plan as set forth in Resolution <br /> No. 1376 to wit: <br /> <br /> (a) The population of the community by 1996 will consist <br /> <br /> of approximately 48,700 individuals. <br /> <br /> (b) Although a population of approximately 48,700 will <br /> exist by 1996, the ultimate population within the <br /> planning area of the City of Pleasanton should <br /> approximate 76,000 individuals, as recommended by <br /> the Citizens Review Committee; this population <br /> should be attained at some date subsequent to 1996. <br /> <br /> (c) An allocation system should be incorporated which <br /> would ensure that the development of the City of <br /> Pleasanton from 1976 thru 1996 will be achieved in <br /> a logical, sequential manner, recognizing that the <br /> initial years of development may be affected by <br /> limitations upon the City's flexibility due to <br /> provisions of the November 8, 1972 settlement agree- <br /> and other judgments and contracts which may be <br /> determined to be legally binding. This allocation <br /> system should attempt to provide for a mixture of <br /> <br />residential, <br />in the next <br />endeavor to <br /> <br />commercial and industrial growth with- <br />twenty years and, as far as feasible, <br />advise property owners of the potential <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
