CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 75-247 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION REGARDING LITTLE LEAGUE FIELDS AT <br /> PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Little League fields exist at a temporary site at <br />the Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park near Hopyard Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, permanent Little League fields are planned for <br />Phase III and Phase IV of said park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Phase III and Phase IV improvements are some time <br />away and interim field improvements are necessary at the tem- <br />porary Little League fields; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission, at its meeting <br />Of October 22, 1975, adopted Resolution 75-9, making certain <br />recommendations to the City Council regarding said temporary fields <br />and use of the same by the National and American Little League <br />organizations~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of November 24, <br />1975, considered the recommendatio~ of the Park and Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council that <br />Phase IIIand Phase IV of the improvements to the Pleasanton <br />Sports and Recreation Park will include permanent Little League <br />fields. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council encourages gradual up-grading <br />of the existing temporary fields near Hopyard Road by the <br />National and American Little League organizations consisting of <br />such improvements as the construction of a French drain~ an <br />improved water and irrigation system, designated parking and <br />traffic flow and landscaping improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
