CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-24 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH <br /> KENNEDY ENGINEERS RELATING TO THE ALTERNATIVE PROJECTS <br /> 2-b and 5-b <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kennedy Engineers has been retained by the City of <br /> Pleasanton for the purpose of determining the most feasi- <br /> ble project to eliminate the Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said study was undertaken pursuant to direction of the <br /> Environmental Protection Agency and State Water Resources <br /> Control Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City of Pleasanton contracted with and has reimbursed <br /> Kennedy Engineers pursuant to said contract for expenses <br /> incurred in making the necessary environmental study and <br /> in determining the most feasible projects for elimination <br /> of the Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed a grant application with <br /> the State Water Resources Control Board and has asked <br /> to be reimbursed for 87 1/2% of the cost for said study; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to amendment to the Federal contract procedures as <br /> they relate to auditing of projects, it is necessary to <br /> <br /> amend the City's contract with Kennedy Engineers; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of February 9, 1976, <br /> <br /> considered an amendment to the contract with the Kennedy <br /> Engineers originally executed on January 7, 1974, said <br /> amendment containing necessary provisions to comply with <br /> State and Federal regulations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement with <br /> <br /> Kennedy Engineers entitled First Amendment to Agreement <br /> for Engineering Services - Waste Water Disposal Facili- <br /> ties. <br /> <br /> <br />
