NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves the application by the Pleasanton Bicenten- <br />nial Festival Committee as sponsor and the City of <br />Pleasanton as co-sponsor to the conduct of the 1976 <br />Alameda County Fair Parade on June 27, 1976, starting <br />at twelve o'clock noon and ending at two o'clock pm <br />on said date. <br />Section 2. The Pleasanton Bicentennial Festival Committee and <br />the City of Pleasanton shall abide by the terms and con- <br />ditions of Article 17, Chapter 2, Title IV, the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton, together with the con- <br />ditions attached to the Application for Parade Permit <br />by the Department of Public Safety as well as the route <br />and times and dates specified in the Application for <br />Parade Permit. Said Parade Permit together with con- <br />ditions are attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated <br />herein by reference. <br />Section 3. The City of Pleasanton shall absorb the cost of ap- <br />proximately two thousand dollars associated with the <br />proposed parade, which is more specifically delineated <br />in the memorandum from the Assistant to the City PIIanager, <br />Mr. Walker, dated April 8, 1976, to the Honorable Mayor <br />and Members of the City Council. Said sum is to be <br />taken from the unallocated reserve and applied to the <br />particular departments which will incur expenses related <br />to the parade. <br />Section 4. The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this Resolution <br />to be transmitted to the Pleasanton Bicentennial Festival <br />Committee. <br />-2- <br />
