CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 76-80 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PARADE PERMIT FOR THE 1976 ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY FAIR PARADE TO BE HELD ON JUNE 27, 1976 <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Fair Association has in the past <br />sponsored an annual Alameda County Fair Parade in con- <br />junction with the opening of the Alameda County Fair; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, due to an indication that the Alameda County Fair Asso- <br />ciation would not be sponsoring the parade for the 1976 <br />Alameda County Fair, the Pleasanton Bicentennial Commit- <br />tee sought to sponsor said parade provided the City of <br />Pleasanton is a co-sponsor; and <br />WHEREAS, Article 17, Chapter 2, Title IV, the Ordinance Code of <br />the City of Pleasanton, specifies Procedures by which a <br />Parade is Authorized in the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Bicentennial Committee has submitted an <br />application pursuant to said Article 17 for a parade <br />permit to conduct the 1976 Alameda County Fair Parade <br />in co-sponsorship with the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, officials of the City of Pleasanton together with mem- <br />hers of the Pleasanton Bicentennial Festival Committee <br />have met to discuss the various requirements for a <br />parade permit and conditions that would be attached <br />thereto; and <br />at the Council meeting of April 12, 1976, a report from <br />the Assistant to the City Manager Walker, dated April 8, <br />1976, was considered by the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton; and <br />members of the Pleasanton Bicentennial Festival Committee <br />spoke in favor of said application for a parade permit. <br />-1- <br />
