CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY GF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-78 <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF HAROLD JOHNSON FROM A <br />DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION DENYING AN APPLICATION <br />TO EXTEND A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />REPAIRING TELEVISION SETS AT A RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 2609 <br />CORTE ELENA IN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, on August 13, 1975, Mr. Harold Johnson located at 2609 <br />Corte Elena, Pleasanton, California, appealed to the <br />Planning Commission a decision by the Zoning Administrato. <br />denying a requested home occupation permit for the repair <br />of television sets; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 13, 1975, after conducting a <br />public hearing the Planning Commission approved for a <br />six-month period subject to conditions Mr. Johnson's <br />home occupation request; and <br />WHEREAS, six months approval was in order to provide Mr. Johnson <br />with an opportunity to obtain sufficient funds in order <br />to obtain an appropriate locality in a commercial area <br />for the conduct of his business; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned six-month period for home occupation <br />permit lapsed on February 13, 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson again made application to the Planning <br />Commission to conduct a home occupation at his residence <br />for an additional six-month period of time; and <br />WHEREAS, said request was heard by the Planning Commission at its <br />meeting of March 10, 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, at said meeting after hearing testimony with respect to <br />this particular request the Planning Commission denied <br />the request of Harold Johnson for an extension of a <br />home occupation permit to repair television sets on a <br />part-time basis at his residence on the basis that the <br />applicant had not made an attempt to establish the <br />business in a commercial area .as he indicated he would, <br />when said permit was initially granted by the Planning <br />Commission; and <br />-1- <br />
