CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-70 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A LAND- <br />USE PERMIT WITH THE SAN FRANCISCO WATER DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City and County of San Francisco owns 489 acres <br />within and adjacent to the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has entered into land-use permit leases <br />in the past with the City and County of San Francisco <br /> Water Department, for the purposes of spray effluent <br />I from the City of Pleasanton's Sunol Sewage Treatment <br /> Facility, as well as to construct ponds for the <br /> purpose of collecting run-off from the spray disposal <br /> fields used by the City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, there are certain advantages to the City of Pleasanton <br /> which would occur as a result of leasing all of the <br /> property belonging to the City and County of San <br /> Francisco. Said advantages being more specifically <br /> detailed in a memorandum of March 17, 1976, from the <br /> Assistant City Manager to the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the present land-use permit between the City of <br /> Pleasanton and the City and County of San Francisco <br /> runs only until January 1, 1978; and <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City of Pleasantc <br /> that the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management <br /> Agency Project for disposal of effluent within the <br /> Valley, will not be operational until 1981, thus <br /> necessitating the use of property belonging to the <br /> City and County of San Francisco until 1981, at the <br /> very minimum; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned March 17, 1976 report from the <br /> Assistant City Manager to the City Council, together <br />
