WHEREAS, the City Council after closing the public hearing considered the information contained in the Staff's report and testimony received at the public hearing NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amends the circulation element of the General Plan by the addition of two streets to the adopted circulation system in the area bounded by Highway I-580, Hopyard Road, Tassajara Road and the extension of West Las Positas Boulevard, between Hopyard Road and Santa Rita Road, as recommended by the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 14-11 attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference together with any exhibits attached thereto, with the modification that the eastern terminus of the frontage road be at the interchange of Tassajara Road and I-580. Section 2. The following policies are hereby adopted: a. All future direct access to Hopyard Road, between West Las Positas Boulevard and Highway 580, be prohibited and that access to properties bordering this thoroughfare in this area be via frontage roads and/or east-west roads, but that the latter be kept to the minimum number possible. b. All truck traffic generated by future land uses in the study area shall be channeled directly northward to utilize the proposed frontage road so that traffic is directed quickly onto the freeway and is kept off of other City streets to the maximum extent possible. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
