WHEREAS, the City Council after closing the public hearing <br />considered the information contained in the Staff's <br />report and testimony received at the public hearing <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Amends the circulation element of the General Plan <br />by the addition of two streets to the adopted circulation <br />system in the area bounded by Highway I-580, Hopyard Road, <br />Tassajara Road and the extension of West Las Positas <br />Boulevard, between Hopyard Road and Santa Rita Road, as <br />recommended by the Planning Commission in Resolution No. <br />14-11 attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated <br />herein by reference together with any exhibits attached <br />thereto, with the modification that the eastern terminus <br />of the frontage road be at the interchange of Tassajara <br />Road and I-580. <br />Section 2. The following policies are hereby adopted: <br />a. All future direct access to Hopyard Road, between <br />West Las Positas Boulevard and Highway 580, be <br />prohibited and that access to properties bordering <br />this thoroughfare in this area be via frontage roads <br />and/or east-west roads, but that the latter be kept <br />to the minimum number possible. <br />b. All truck traffic generated by future land uses in <br />the study area shall be channeled directly northward <br />to utilize the proposed frontage road so that traffic <br />is directed quickly onto the freeway and is kept off <br />of other City streets to the maximum extent possible. <br />Section 3.
