WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-224 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT FOR 4895 <br /> FIRST STREET, CORRAL DRIVE-IN <br /> <br /> the City of Pleasanton purchased the property at <br /> 4895 First Street, approximately eight years ago, <br /> as right-of-way for the eventual completion of the <br /> Bernal Avenue realignment; and <br /> based on the funds that are available for street pro- <br /> jects and their current priority, continuation of the <br /> Bernal Avenue realignment is not expected during the <br /> next seven years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Jay Harris has a five year lease with the City <br /> for the property at 4895 First Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Harris has been operating the Corral Drive-In at <br /> 4895 First Street for the past five years and would <br /> like now to make improvements for a continued use of <br /> the property for a drive-in restaurant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Harris has requested a five year extension to <br /> his present lease, said present lease which expires <br /> May 31, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a proposed lease agreement has been prepared by the <br /> City Attorney's office covering the period from Novem- <br /> ber 1, 1976 to May 31, 1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the proposed lease, Mr. Harris would continue <br /> to pay his present rental of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE <br /> AND NO/100ths DOLLARS ($125.00) per month through <br /> May 31, 1978 and he would pay, for the remaining <br /> period of the lease, that rental increased by the <br /> change in the Consumer Price Index between 1972 and <br /> 1978. <br /> <br /> <br />
