WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-223 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING AN APPLICATION FOR A <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND <br />USE DESIGNATION FOR THE LAND LOCATED ON THE <br />SOUTH SIDE OF VINEYARD AVENUE,BETWEEN ADAMS <br />WAY AND MAVIS DRIVE, FROM HIGH DENSITY RESI- <br />DENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br />City Council of the City of Pleasanton received the <br />Vineyard Avenue land use study from the Planning De- <br />partanent, on June 21, 1976; and <br />the Council intends to rezone the area north of <br />Vineyard Avenue, from First Street and the eastern <br />City limit line, from RM-1500 and RM-2500 to RM-4000 <br />and two parcels on the south side of Vineyard Avenue, <br />located between Mavis Drive and approximately 385 feet <br />east of Adams Way, from RM-2500 to R1-6500; and <br />the larger of the two southern parcels is general <br />planned for high density residential; and <br />in order to rezone that property the general plan <br />designation must be changed to medium density resi- <br />dential; and <br />on September 8, 1976, the Planning Commission held <br />a public hearing and issued a report recommending <br />denial of proposed change; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Planning Commission's recommendation of denial was <br />based on the belief that the rezoning of the Vineyard <br />Avenue area would not solve the traffic problems in <br />that area; and <br />the City Council held a public hearing on October 11, <br />1976, at which meeting the Council received the Plan- <br />ning Conunission's recommendation and the recon~nendation <br />of the planning staff; and <br /> <br /> <br />
