CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 76-242 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 IN ORDER <br /> TO ESTABLISH BART BUS STOPS AT SANTA RITA ROAD AND <br /> BLACK AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council on April 12, 1976 adopted Resolution <br /> <br /> No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations <br /> for City Streets and Repealing Resolution No. 70-26 [De- <br /> fining and Establishing Certain Streets and Parts of <br /> Streets in the City of Pleasanton as One-Way Streets, <br /> Through Streets, Stop Intersections, Crosswalks, No <br /> Stopping and No Parking Areas, Diagonal Parking Areas <br /> and Limited Parking Areas] and Resolutions No. 70-205, <br /> 71-37, 71-220, 73-89,. 73-133, 73-174, 74-167, 74-220, <br /> 74-234, 74-235, 74-211, and 75-9) which sets forth <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />various traffic regulations on the <br />and <br /> <br />Section 13 of Resolution No. 76-79 <br /> <br />streets of Pleasanton, <br /> <br />pertains to location <br /> <br /> of bus stops within the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City received and forwarded to the Bay Area Rapid <br /> Transit District, a petition with over 100 signatures <br /> requesting a bus stop at Santa Rita Road and Black <br /> Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, BART has asked for authorization to add the stop at <br /> Santa Rita Road and Black Avenue to the City's bus <br /> route; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the stop at the above location will allow residents <br /> of the City to ride AC Transit buses to the new post- <br /> office, the library, Amador Park and Aquatic Center, <br /> Amador High School, Alisal Elementary School and the <br /> two large medical buildings in the area of Black Avenue; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City traffic engineering has reviewed the location <br /> of the proposed bus stop and found the site to be suit- <br /> able for the same; and <br /> <br /> <br />
