CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-276 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION DENYING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO <br /> SECTION 2-7.21, ARTICLE 9, CHAPTER 2, TITLE II <br /> OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RELATING TO CHURCHES AND OTHER RELIGIOUS IN- <br /> STITUTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 13, 1976 the Planning Commission of the <br /> City of Pleasanton initiated a Zoning Code Amendment <br /> to allow churches, schools and workshops for the <br /> handicapped to be conditionally permitted uses in the <br /> I-G (General Industrial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 3, 1976 the Planning Commission recommended <br /> approval of case RZ-76-17 (An Application to Amend <br /> Section 2-7.21, Article 9, Chapter 2, Title II of <br /> the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow <br /> "churches and other religious institutions" and <br /> "private schools" as conditional uses in the I-G <br /> (General Industrial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Planning Commission Resolution No. 1462, setting forth <br /> the position of the Planning Commission, together with <br /> the staff report of December 1, 1976 and a draft ordi- <br /> nance were transmitted to the City Council and heard <br /> by the City Council at a public hearing on December 6, <br /> 1976; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after holding a public hearing at which any interested <br /> member of the public was allowed to speak either for <br /> or against the proposed amendment, the City Council <br /> deliberated upon the information received at the public <br /> hearing together with the staff report of December 1, <br /> 1976 and Exhibits thereto. <br /> <br /> <br />
