The location of the Project shall also <br /> appear on the regionaI map. <br /> <br /> (b) A statement of the objectives sought by the Proposed <br /> Project. <br /> <br /> (c) A general description of theproJect,s technical, <br /> economic and environmental characteristics, consid- <br /> ering the Principal engineering Proposals and sup- <br /> Potting public service facilities. <br /> <br /> Descri~on of Environmental Set <br /> ~ descriptfon ~'fthe ~'hvir'~nmenttin-~' An EIR must include <br /> in the vicinity of the <br /> Project, as it exists before commencement of the project, <br /> from both a local and regional Perspective. Knowledge of <br /> the regional setting is critical to the assessment of en- <br /> vironmental impacts. Special emphasis should be placed <br /> on environmental resources that ape rare or unique. to that <br /> region. SPecific reference to related Projects, both public <br /> and Private, both existent and Planned, in the region should <br /> also be included, for Purposes of examining the Possible <br /> cumulative impact of such Projects. <br /> <br />Environmentali__~act. All phases of a Project must be <br />~'~nsidereYwhen e~aYuating its impact on the environment: <br />Planning, acquisition· development and operation. The <br />following subjects shall be discussed, Preferably in <br />separate sections or Paragraphs.
