(6) The name of the person or persons who prepared <br /> or participated in the Initial Study: <br /> <br />(C) <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />Uses. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The Initial Study shall be used to provide a <br />written determination of whether a Negative <br />Declaration or an EIR shall be prepared for a <br />project. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Where a project is revised in response to an <br />Initial Study so that potential adverse effects <br />are mitigated to a poin~ where no significant <br />environmental effects would occur~ a Negative <br />Declaration shall be prepared instead of an EIR. <br />If the project would still result in one or more <br />significant effects on the environment after <br />mitigation measures are added to the project, <br />an EIR shall be prepared. <br /> <br />The approving body, at the time of consideration <br />of the environmental document, shall determine <br />the most appropriate method of assuring that <br />identified mitigation measures are undertaken. <br />Such action may take the form of conditions on <br />the project, revocation of the project for any <br />violations, separate contract(s) or any other <br />method deemed advisable at the time of review. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />The EIR shall emphasize study of the impacts <br />determined to be significant and can omit further <br />examination of those impacts found to be clearly <br />insignificant in the Initial Study. <br /> <br />Submission of Data. The applicant for a private project, <br />or an authorized representative, shall submit to the <br />Director such information as required by the Director <br />which will allow an initial study to be conducted and <br />shall pay the required fee deposit for review. A project <br />shall not be deemed filed for purposes of undertaking <br />an initial study until all pertinent and required in- <br />formation, in the form established by the Director, <br />has been provided. <br /> <br />Decision. Upon submittal of all required information <br />the project shall be deemed filed and the Director, <br />or his designated representative, shall review said <br />information to determine if an Environmental Impact <br />Report or Negative Declaration shall be filed. The <br />Director shall complete this review and make a deter- <br />mination on the environmental consequences of the <br />project within thirty (30) days of the filing of the <br />project with the Planning Division of the Department <br />of Community Development. <br /> <br />-19- <br /> <br /> <br />
