Section 4. The proposed acquisition and improvement of the <br /> property as described herein is planned and located in <br /> a manner which will be most compatible with the great- <br /> est public good and the least private injury. <br /> <br />Section 5. The property described in Section 1 of this resolu- <br /> tion is necessary for the proposed improvements to <br /> Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road as described herein. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />6. The City Manager, City Attorney, and Director of <br />Engineering Services are authorized and directed to <br />perform all acts necessary on behalf of the City of <br />Pleasanton for the acquisition of the aforementioned <br />property as described in Section 1, and said City Manager, <br />City Attorney, and Director of Engineering Services are <br />further authorized to prepare, institute and prosecute <br />to conclusion on behalf of the City of Pleasanton an <br />action in eminent domain, or any other such proceedings <br />as may be required for the acquisition of the property <br />as described herein in Section 1, or interests in such <br />property, which cannot be acquired through negotiation <br />and purchase, and to do any and all things in connection <br />with such proceedings as in their judgment may be neces- <br />sary and convenient to the successful conclusion of said <br />proceedings. <br /> <br />Section 7. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby individu- <br /> ally authorized and directed to consent to and accept, <br /> on behalf of the City of Pleasanton, all deeds and grants <br /> conveying any interest in property as hereinabove described. <br /> <br />Section 8. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to record a certified copy of this resolution <br /> in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of <br /> Alameda. It may thereafter be referred to in any accept- <br /> ance by any of the officers or agents referred to in Section <br /> Seven (7) above with the same effect as though a certified <br /> copy of this resolution were attached to the document accep- <br /> ted. <br /> <br />Section 9.
