pay the Engineer the amount of the Enginear's direct labor costs expanded, <br />plus a percentage of direct labor casts for labor overhead, plus direct <br />expenses in connection therewith, plus a fixed fee. For purposes of this <br />agreement labor indirect overhead and indirect overhead are established at <br />146% of direct labor cost, as indicated in Exhibit "B," and may be adjusted <br />by amendment to this agreement based on negotiations between the City and <br />the Engineer following an audit.' <br /> <br /> Budget for total charges for services for the described work <br /> <br />under this Amendment may be increased by amendment hereto. As provided in <br />EPA Appendix C-l, attached hereto as Exhibit "C" and incorporated herein by <br />reference, prior budget augmentation approval must be given before services <br />are provided or e.xpenses are incurred beyond the above amount. <br /> 1) The Engineer's Labor Overhead Costs are defined as those <br /> <br />costs to cover all taxes, payments, premiums measured by or applicable to <br />the time of performance of such Direct Labor, such as, but not limited to, <br />Worker's Compensation insurance, Social Security, State and Federal unemploy- <br />ment insurance,medical-hospital insurance,. salary continuation insurance, <br />pension-profit share plan costs, and prorata allowances for vacation, sick <br />leave, and holiday pay- <br /> <br /> 2) The Engineer's General Overhead Costs are defined as those <br /> genera]. and administrative costs, exclusive of labor overheads included <br /> under Paragraph 1) above, allowable under the cost principles of 41 CFR 1-15.4 <br /> to the Engineer during the period of performance of the services. <br /> 3) Direct erpenses shall include but not be Iirjted to: <br /> rental of equipment, automobile mileage at $0.20 per mile, identifiable com- <br /> munication ex~enses such.as long distance telephone calls, travel and subsistence, <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
