A. Scope of Servic~ Article II (Services and Scope 'fnereof), subparagraph A.2 is amended to read as follows: ~ 2. The design work to be performed under Step 2 of this contract includes the following: a. Intercept the ra~ sewage gravity flow at the existing Sunol Sewage Treatment Plant and provide a 21-inch diameter gravity sewer to'a new raw sewage pump station No. 1. This design element shall be designed for a peak flow of 3.94 }IGD, the grant eligible flow specified in the State's concept approval letter of December 29,1976, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference- b, Desigh Raw Sewage Pump Station No. 1. Pump Station No. 1 shall receive the Alameda County Fair sewage at its wet well. Said flow is estimated to be approximately .81 MGD~ as determined from Exhibit A. The design flow for Pump Station No. 1, 16-inch force mains, 24-inch gravity se~ers and new Pump Station No. 2, to VCSD sewage treatment plant, shall be 4.75 MGD in accordance with the flow figures established by Exhibit A. New" Pump Stations No. 1 and No. 2 shall be wet-pit-dry-pit type stations with superstructures. Both stations shall provide for standby p6wer. c. Upon intercepting the Sunol sewage treatment plant raw sewage influent facilities and upon activation of all new intercept facilities between Sunol and VCSD sewage treatment plants, the existing Sunol facility shall he demolished and the project plans and specifications will so provide. B. Article III Compensation- Article III, paragraph B, page 8, is amended to read as follows: The work to be performed by Engineer pursuant to this contract shall be paid fox' on a cost reimbursement plus a fixed fee basis in accordance with 40 C~l 35,937.1.
