5. The City shall request PERS to conduct an actuarial survey for the purpose of determining the level of contributions necessary to provide a "2% at 50" retirement plan and any other available options the City desires studied. The cost of the actuarial survey shall be borne by the City. A copy of such survey shall be made available to the Union no later than July 1, 1978, without obligation upon the City to take action based upon the results of this survey. 6. Employees who are ordered to report to work during their o~f-duty hours for the purpose of appearing in court and who do so at the specified time shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours' pay at time and one-half (1-1/2). This provision does not apply to instances where employees are ordered to report to work less than three (3) hours prior to their regular starting time or are held over less than three (3) hours after their regular quitting time for the purpose of appearing in court. 7. Effective April 1, 1978, the uniform allowance shall be increased to One Hundred Eighty Dollars ($180.00) per year, such allowance to be paid in one payment in April. 8. The salary range of each classification shall be increased effective July 1, 1977, to provide monthly salary ranges as follows: Classification Step A Step B Step C Step D Step E Police Officer $1311 $1378 $1448 $1522 $1598 Police Sergeant 1484 1556 1635 1716 1804 It is mutually recommended that the modifications shown above be made applicable on the dates indicated and, in conjunction with the existing unmodified rules, regulations and ordinances of the City, shall constitute the wages, hours and working conditions for those employees represented by Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 for the period July 1, 1977 through September 30, 1978.
