EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this day of , 1977, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal.corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City" and WARREN B. RANDALL, hereinafter referred to as "Employee." WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, Employee has previously been employed as Senior Building Inspector with the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, City is desirous of obtaining Employee's services on an interim basis until a permanent Chief Building Inspector is employed. NOW, THEREFORE, Employee and City agree to the following: 1. I Employment. City hereby employs Employee as Acting Chief Building Inspector and Employee hereby accepts and agrees to such employment. 2. Employee's Duties. Subject to the supervision and direction of the City Manager, Employee shall perform the duties and responsibilities of the Chief Building Inspector of the City of Pleasanton including but not limited to: (a) responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Uniform Building Code, Plumbing Code, Mechanical Code, National Electrical Code and all applicable City, State and Federal ordinances; (b) responsibility for checking plans to insure conformance with applicable codes' and zoning ordinances except as follows: Employee currently performs structural plan-checking services for new and extensively remodeled buildings for the City. Services proposed in this contract are in addition to services currently being performed and this contract does not super- cede or abrogate any existing agreement between Employee and City;
