CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-212 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1977-78 OPERATING <br />BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Acting City Manager did present to the City Council <br />a Preliminary Proposed Operating Budget and Capital <br />Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 1977-78; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />meetings were held where the Proposed Preliminary Budget <br />was reviewed and Public Hearings were held to afford the <br />public the opportunity to speak; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council adopted Resolution No. 77-143 approving <br />the Preliminary Operating Budget with the changes set <br />forth as Exhibit A of Resolution No. 77-143. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Preliminary Operating Budget as approved by <br /> Resolution No. 77-143, including the changes as set forth <br /> in Exhibit A to said resolution, is adopted as the 1977-78 <br /> Operating Budget with the following changes to the General <br /> Fund: <br /> <br />a. Place monies appropriated for the <br /> Seismic Study in the reserve for <br /> future consideration <br />b. Eliminate Funding for the Assistant <br /> Fire Chief Position and place the <br /> monies in the reserve <br />c. Add the following three positions to <br /> the Public Safety Department at a <br /> total 1977-78 cost of: <br /> 1. Dispatcher <br /> 2. Fireman <br /> 3. Police Lieutenant <br /> <br />$12,000. <br /> <br /> 31,468. <br /> 54,000. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the 1977-78 Budget as approved by Resolution <br /> No. 77-143 will be adjusted to reflect salary adjustments <br /> made as a result of labor negotiations for general <br /> employees, police and fire personnel, and recommendation <br /> of the City Manager and City Attorney for management and <br /> confidential employees under their respective jurisdictions, <br /> and for City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Capital Improvement Program presented to <br /> the City Council by the City Manager be adopted as the <br /> 1977-78 Capital Improvement Program with the following <br /> amendments: <br /> <br /> <br />
