CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-211 APPROVAL OF CAPITAL EXPENDITURES IN 1977-78 WHEREAS, during consideration of the 1977-78 Operating Budget on July 11, 1977, the general subject of need for additional City buildings was brought up as the possibility exists to utilize surplus funds to construct one or more neces- sary buildings; and WHEREAS, the discussion of building needs, at the Council meeting of July 11, 1977, was prompted by a recommendation on the disposition of surplus funds from 1976-77; and WHEREAS, the recommendation relating to buildings was to purchase Fire Station Two, add 1,800 square feet of Office space to the existing City Hall and construct a separate Council Chambers on the Civic Center site; and WHEREAS, if implemented, these recommendations would avoid the necessity of annual lease payments; and WHEREAS, the City Council at their meeting of August 9, 1977, received a report dated August 2, 1977, from Council- members Brandes and Herlihy regarding Capital Expendi- tures for 1977-78, said report attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves capital expenditures in 1977-78 as follows: (1) (2) construct a new Police Building - $40,000; Addition to City Hall and new Council Chambers $240,000. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
