CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-234 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR A HOLD~ <br />ING TANK FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6900 VALLEY TRAILS <br />DRIVE, PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission and Design Review Board approved <br />the design review and conditional use for the construc- <br />tion and operation of a church facility at 6900 Valley <br />Trails Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on April 25, 1977, the City Council denied a request <br />for utilization of a septic tank at the above site due <br />to the large number of homes near the church site, the <br />nature of the soil, and the proximity of operating water <br />wells to the proposed septic tank site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a request was received from Mr. Donald Scheer, Building <br />Committee Chairman for Evangelical Free Church, for ap- <br />proval of a sewage holding tank to serve the proposed <br />development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 23, 1977, con- <br />sidered a report from the Director of Engineering Services <br />dated August 16, 1977, together with attachments thereto, <br />pertaining to a request for a holding tank by the Evan- <br />gelical Free Church at 6900 Valley Trails Drive. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RE- <br />SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the application of the Evangelical Free Church <br /> for the establishment of a holding tank at 6900 Valley <br /> Trails Drive, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />That the property owner enter into a standard <br />holding tank agreement with the City and ap- <br />proved by the City Attorney prior to issuance <br />of a building permit for this development. <br /> <br />2. That approval for the holding tank be granted <br /> for a one (1) year period. <br /> <br />That applicant acknowledge in writing, prior <br />to issuance of a building permit, its under- <br />standing of the time limit of this approval and <br />that the City Council is not obligated to auto- <br />matically grant approval for continued use of <br />the holding tank and that it is aware of and <br />prepared for the probable monthly pumping charge, <br />estimated to be approximately $725.00 per month <br />based on the applicant's estimated sewage vol- <br />ume. <br /> <br /> <br />
