CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-232 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN FIXING <br />SALARIES AND FRINGE BENEFITS FOR MANAGEMENT AND <br />CONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />NOT INCLUDING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY <br />AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 76-163 AND AMENDING <br />THE 1977-78 BUDGET ACCORDINGLY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the establishment and designation of <br /> employees as management and confidential employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Manager has prepared and submitted a compensation plan <br />recommending salary ranges and fringe benefits for fiscal year 1977-78 <br />for those employees under his Jurisdiction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Attorney has prepared and submitted a compensation plan <br />recommending salaries and fringe benefits for fiscal year 1977-78 for <br />those employees under his jurisdiction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has previously, by Resolution No. 77-171, directed <br />that salary range and fringe benefit increases for management and <br />confidential employees for fiscal year 1977-78 he granted retroactive <br />to July 1, 1977; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council had previously, by Resolution No. 76-163, adopted a <br />compensation plan for the above employees, which resolution must now <br />be repealed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />The salary ranges and fringe benefits for management employees for <br />the period commencing July 1, 1977, and ending June 30, 1978, shall <br />be as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />by reference. <br /> <br />The City Manager is authorized, at his discretion, to grant additional <br />salary adjustments to select management positions as the City Manager <br />may deem appropriate, upon approval by the City Council of a reorgani- <br />zation plan to be prepared and submitted by the City Manager to the <br />City Council. Said salary adjustments may be granted by the City <br />Manager retroactive to July 1, 1977. However, the total dollar amount <br />of said salary adjustments shall not exceed 1.5% of total management <br />salaries as of July 1, 1977. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />The salary ranges and fringe benefit increases for confidential <br />employees for the period commencing July 1, 1977, and ending June <br />30, 1978, shall be as set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 4. The 1977-78 Budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended accordingly. <br /> <br /> <br />
