CITY OF pLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 77-253 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL <br />PLAN TEXT RELATING TO THE DENSITY OF GENERAL PLAN <br />LAND USE DESIGNATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Morrison Homes Corporation requested that the City of <br />Pleasanton General Plan be amended at Hopyard Road and <br />Valley Avenue from high density residential to medium den~ <br />sity residential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS~ <br /> <br />the Planning Commission at its meeting of August 10, 1977, <br />considered GP-77-2 together with the Negative Declaration <br />on said proposed amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the Planning Commission instead of recommending the General <br />Plan change requested by Morrison Homes Corporation, proposed <br />and recommended instead that the text of the Land Use Element <br />of the General Plan be amended regarding the designation of <br />land use densities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of September 20, 1977, con~ <br />sidered a report of September 2, 1~77 together with attach- <br />ments from the Director of Planning regarding the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, by Resolution No, 77-252, determined that <br />a Negative Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br />General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS~ <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council delib- <br />erated upon the proposed amendment considering the information <br />set forth in the staff report of September 2, 1977 and attach- <br />ments thereto, as well as the information contained in the <br />initial study leading to the Negative Declaration for said <br />project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves an amendment to the Land Use <br /> Element of the General Plan, adopted on February 9, 1976 by <br /> Resolution No. 76-26, to read as follows: <br /> <br />"The General Plan map shows three residential density cate~ <br />gories: Low Density Residential - less than two (2) dwell~ <br />ing units per gross acre; Medium Density Residential ~ an <br /> <br /> <br />
