CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-245 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN FIXING SALARIES AND FRINGE BENEFITS FOR DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY AND LEGAL SECRETARY, CLASSIFYING THE LEGAL SECRETARY AS LEGAL ASSIST- ANT AND AMENDING THE 1977-78 BUDGET OF THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE ACCORDINGLY WHEREAS, the Deputy City Attorney and Legal Secretary salaries are recommended by the City Attorney for consideration and adop- tion by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney made a recommendation to the City Council for compensation for the Deputy City Attorney and Legal Secretary; and WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 77-171, directed that salary range and fringe benefit increases for management and confidential employees for fiscal year 1977-78 would be retroactive to July 1, 1977; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney recommended that the classification of Legal Assistant be established in the City Attorney's Depart- ment and that the present Legal Secretary be designated as the Legal Assistant; and WHEREAS, the City Council deliberated upon the above recommendations at its meeting of September 13, 1977. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The salary range and fringe benefits for the Deputy City Attorney for the period cc~]~encing on July 1, 1977 and ending June 30, 1978, shall be as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. The position of Legal Assistant is hereby established and Mary Gettman, the present Legal Secretary, is designated as the Legal Assistant. Position of Legal Assistant shall be deemed a confidential position in the City services. Section 3. The salary range and fringe benefits for Legal Assistant for the period commencing July 1, 1977 and ending June 30, shall be as set forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. 1978 Section 4. The 1977-78 budget of the City of Pleasanton is amended accordingly. Section 5. Any resolution which pre-dates this resolution and establishes salary and fringe benefits for the Deputy City Attorney are expressly repealed.
