CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 77-299 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A REZONING APPLICATION (RZ-77-13) WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of November 8, 1977, received a proposed negative declaration for the rezoning of approximately 1.3 acres of property located at 915, 923, and 929 Santa Rita Road from the C-S (Commercial Services) and C-F (Commercial Freeway) Districts to C-C (Central Commercial); and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of November 8, 1977, received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning dated, November 14, 1977, regarding the proposed rezoning; and WHEREAS, the City Council was advised by the City Attorney of their responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declara- tion and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the City Council had before them copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the rezoning proposal; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the City Council reviewed the provisions of the City~s Guide- lines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council reviewed the contents of Resolution No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) as they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations
