CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-299 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A <br />REZONING APPLICATION (RZ-77-13) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of November 8, 1977, <br />received a proposed negative declaration for the rezoning <br />of approximately 1.3 acres of property located at 915, <br />923, and 929 Santa Rita Road from the C-S (Commercial <br />Services) and C-F (Commercial Freeway) Districts to C-C <br />(Central Commercial); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by <br />Resolution No. 77-66; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of November 8, 1977, <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning dated, November 14, <br />1977, regarding the proposed rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council was advised by the City Attorney of their <br />responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declara- <br />tion and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of <br />Resolution No. 77-66; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had before them copies of <br />Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had previously been <br />published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public <br />hearing on the rezoning proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />City Council reviewed the provisions of the City~s Guide- <br />lines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if <br />a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and <br />what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to <br />ensure that the project will not have a significant impact <br />upon the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council reviewed the contents of Resolution <br /> No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) <br /> as they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations <br /> <br /> <br />
