Energy Conservation 0 to 5 points -Extent to which energy conservation measures are incorpo- rated into the project according to the following schedule: · at least 125 P.G.&E. points · over 150 P.Go&E. points · inclusion of aesthetically de- signed solar assisted space and hot water heating units meeting 70% of the anticipated energy need of these requirements 1 point 2 points 3 points Note: The 1976 P.G.&E. Energy Conservation Home point equivalents shall be used. Only those energy conservation measures found on the P.G.&E. sched- ule shall be allowed. RAP points gained under installation of solar assisted systems shall be added to any RAP points the proposal would be eligible for under the P.G.&E. sub-sections. Thus, a development containing energy conserva- tion measures totalling 125 P.G.&E. points and solar heating shall receive 1 point plus 3 points, or 4 RAP points. Air Quality 0 to 3 points -Extent to which the project incorporates the following features and/or meets the following criteria aimed at reducing the vehicle miles travelled by and dependence on automobiles: project is located within 1/2 mile of an existing shopping center which includes a grocery store - 1 point project contains design features conducive to the utilization of bicycles (eg. lockable bicycle storage areas in apartment com- plexes, bicycle paths in single- family subdivisions, etc.) 1 point project is located within 1/2 mile of the BART bus route; or, if beyond 1/2 mile, the developer provides a van/shuttle bus to the homeowners' association (or the City) to be used for local shuttle bus service to BART and for local transit 1 point Note: The qualifying BART bus route includes only that portion of the route - both commuter service and basic service - on local streets (ie. not free- ways); "grocery store" does not include conven- ience markets. -3-
