Energy Conservation <br /> <br />0 to 5 points <br /> <br />-Extent to which energy conservation measures are incorpo- <br />rated into the project according to the following schedule: <br /> <br />· at least 125 P.G.&E. points <br />· over 150 P.Go&E. points <br />· inclusion of aesthetically de- <br />signed solar assisted space and <br />hot water heating units meeting <br />70% of the anticipated energy <br />need of these requirements <br /> <br />1 point <br />2 points <br /> <br />3 points <br /> <br />Note: <br /> <br />The 1976 P.G.&E. Energy Conservation Home point <br />equivalents shall be used. Only those energy <br />conservation measures found on the P.G.&E. sched- <br />ule shall be allowed. RAP points gained under <br />installation of solar assisted systems shall be <br />added to any RAP points the proposal would be <br />eligible for under the P.G.&E. sub-sections. <br />Thus, a development containing energy conserva- <br />tion measures totalling 125 P.G.&E. points and <br />solar heating shall receive 1 point plus 3 points, <br />or 4 RAP points. <br /> <br />Air Quality <br /> <br />0 to 3 points <br /> <br />-Extent to which the project incorporates the following <br /> features and/or meets the following criteria aimed at <br /> reducing the vehicle miles travelled by and dependence <br /> on automobiles: <br /> <br />project is located within 1/2 mile <br />of an existing shopping center which <br />includes a grocery store - <br /> <br />1 point <br /> <br />project contains design features <br />conducive to the utilization of <br />bicycles (eg. lockable bicycle <br />storage areas in apartment com- <br />plexes, bicycle paths in single- <br />family subdivisions, etc.) <br /> <br />1 point <br /> <br />project is located within 1/2 mile <br />of the BART bus route; or, if beyond <br />1/2 mile, the developer provides a <br />van/shuttle bus to the homeowners' <br />association (or the City) to be used <br />for local shuttle bus service to <br />BART and for local transit <br /> <br />1 point <br /> <br />Note: <br /> <br />The qualifying BART bus route includes only that <br />portion of the route - both commuter service and <br />basic service - on local streets (ie. not free- <br />ways); "grocery store" does not include conven- <br />ience markets. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
