AGREEMENT FOR SALE AND PURCHASE OF SPECIAL <br /> ASSESSMENT BONDS OF STONERIDGE PROJECT <br />ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS NO. 1974-1, 1974-2, 1974-3, 1974-4, 1974-5 <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation <br />of the State of California, hereinafter called Seller, and STONE & YOUNGBERG of <br />San Francisco, California, a partnership, hereinafter called Buyer, this <br />day of ; <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH; <br /> <br />I. The parties hereto do hereby find and determine the following: <br /> <br /> The City of Pleasanton has undertaken through assessment district proceedings <br /> <br />financing of the acquisition and construction of public facilities and improvements <br />~for development of the Stoneridge Project in the City of Pleasanton involving the <br />following: <br /> <br /> A. The area to be included in the five assessment districts designated 1974-1, <br /> 1974-2, 1974-3, 1974-4, 1974-5, is bounded on the north by Freeway 580, on <br /> the east by Freeway 680, on the south by Stoneridge Drive, and on the west <br /> by Foothill Road. The development of the property will include the con- <br /> struction of a maj or regional commercial center. <br /> <br /> B. The public facilities and improvements to be acquired and/or constructed <br /> include land acquisition for street rights-of-way, street improvements, <br /> freeway overcrossing, water distribution system, sewer collection system, <br /> drainage, street lighting, underground power ~nd telephone, traffic signa- <br /> lization, and landscaping. <br /> <br /> C. T~e total estimated cost of these public improvements including acquisition, <br /> construction~ engineering~ legal, financing, and other incidental expenses <br /> iS approximately $Sf?78f.383.11. This amount is exclusive of any contributions. <br /> These costs will be assessed against the property within the assessment <br /> district. <br /> <br /> D. Assessment bonds will be sold to finance the acquisition of public facilities <br /> and construction of these public improvements. These assessment proceedings <br /> are undertaken pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 with bonds <br /> to issue pursuant to the Improvement Bond Act of 1915. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
