CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAmeDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 78-119 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR DEVELOPmeNT OF A COMMERCIAL COMPLEX TO BE LOCATED AT 201 MAIN STREET. WHEREAS The City Council, at its meeting of May 9, 1978, received a proposed negative declaration for design review for a commercial complex to be located at 201 Main Street, immediately north of the Old Post Office building; zoning for the property being C-C/C-O (Central Commercial/Civic Overlay) District; and WHEREAS Said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution 77-66; and WHEREAS The City Council, at its meeting of May 9, 1978, received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated April 26, 1978, regarding the proposal; and WHEREAS The City Council was advised by the City Attorney of their responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution 77-66; and WHEREAS Each member of the City Council had before them copies of Resolution 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, The public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the rezoning proposal; and WHEREAS, Upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the City Council reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declara- tion is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
