CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAmeDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-119 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR DEVELOPmeNT <br />OF A COMMERCIAL COMPLEX TO BE LOCATED AT 201 MAIN STREET. <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />The City Council, at its meeting of May 9, 1978, received a <br />proposed negative declaration for design review for a <br />commercial complex to be located at 201 Main Street, immediately <br />north of the Old Post Office building; zoning for the property <br />being C-C/C-O (Central Commercial/Civic Overlay) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />Said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to <br />the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution 77-66; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />The City Council, at its meeting of May 9, 1978, received the <br />Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report <br />from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated <br />April 26, 1978, regarding the proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />The City Council was advised by the City Attorney of their <br />responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration <br />and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution <br />77-66; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council had before them copies of <br />Resolution 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed <br />environmental assessment, which had previously been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the <br />rezoning proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the City <br />Council reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and <br />Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the <br />preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain <br />to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental <br />Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declara- <br />tion is appropriate for the project and what mitigation <br />measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project <br />will not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
