CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF AL~4EDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 78-242 A RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION FOR A SEPTIC TANK PERMIT BUT APPROVING A HOLDING TANK PERMIT FOR MARINER ASSOCIATES NO. 4 ON THEIR PROPERTY AT 2500 SANTA RITA ROAD, PLEASANTON WHEREAS, Rudi Mariner, representing the owners of a 3.64 acre parcel of land fronting on Santa Rita Road, has made application for approval to install a septic tank on an interim basis to serve a proposed industrial service use; and WHEREAS, before Mariner Associates can proceed with their project it will be necessary to obtain City Council approval for a private sewage disposal system to serve this development; and WHEREAS, this request has been reviewed by Engineering staff and found to be in conformance with the City's adopted septic tank policy for sewage disposal; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves a holding tank permit, instead of the septic tank permit requested, to serve the proposed development to be located at 2500 Santa Rita Road, subject to the following conditions: That the property owner enter into a standard holding tank agreement with the City prior to issuance of a building permit for this development. That the property owner acknowledge in writing their understanding of the probable magnitude of monthly pumping charges and that they are able and willing to meet this commitment as long as the holding tank is necessary. That approval be granted for a one-year period expiring September 12, 1979, and that application for renewal be submitted to the City, together with appropriate renewal fee, at least one month prior to expiration date of September 12, 1979. That property owners acknowledge in writing, prior to issuance of a building permit, their understanding of the time limit of this approval and that City Council is not obligated to automatically grant approval for continued use of the holding tank.
