CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF AL~4EDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-242 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION FOR A SEPTIC TANK PERMIT <br />BUT APPROVING A HOLDING TANK PERMIT FOR MARINER ASSOCIATES <br />NO. 4 ON THEIR PROPERTY AT 2500 SANTA RITA ROAD, PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Rudi Mariner, representing the owners of a 3.64 acre parcel <br />of land fronting on Santa Rita Road, has made application <br />for approval to install a septic tank on an interim basis <br />to serve a proposed industrial service use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />before Mariner Associates can proceed with their project <br />it will be necessary to obtain City Council approval for <br />a private sewage disposal system to serve this development; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this request has been reviewed by Engineering staff and <br />found to be in conformance with the City's adopted septic <br />tank policy for sewage disposal; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves a holding tank permit, instead of the septic tank <br /> permit requested, to serve the proposed development to be <br /> located at 2500 Santa Rita Road, subject to the following <br /> conditions: <br /> <br />That the property owner enter into a standard holding <br />tank agreement with the City prior to issuance of a <br />building permit for this development. <br /> <br />That the property owner acknowledge in writing their <br />understanding of the probable magnitude of monthly <br />pumping charges and that they are able and willing to <br />meet this commitment as long as the holding tank is <br />necessary. <br /> <br />That approval be granted for a one-year period expiring <br />September 12, 1979, and that application for renewal <br />be submitted to the City, together with appropriate <br />renewal fee, at least one month prior to expiration <br />date of September 12, 1979. <br /> <br />That property owners acknowledge in writing, prior to <br />issuance of a building permit, their understanding of <br />the time limit of this approval and that City Council <br />is not obligated to automatically grant approval for <br />continued use of the holding tank. <br /> <br /> <br />
