CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> IN THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 78-267 <br /> <br />lIE: APPROVING VACATION OF A PORTION OF NORTHWAY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on October 3, 1978, the City Council did, by Resolution <br />No. 78-248, indicate its intention to vacate a portion of <br />Northway Road right-of-way in order to make a slight adjust- <br />ment to the northeast property line on the curve in North- <br />way Road, as requested by developer Morrison Homes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Resolution No. 78-249 set October 10, 1978, in the City <br />Council Chambers, 30 West Angela Street, Pleasanton, at <br />8:00 P.M., as the date, time and place at which, pursuant <br />to the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, <br />evidence and objections to the proposed street vacation <br />would be heard; and <br /> <br />at the hearing on October 10, 1978, evidence regarding said <br />proposed street vacation was heard and considered which <br />indicated that retention of the area proposed to be vacated <br />was no longer necessary for present or prospective street <br />purposes; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The vacation of a portion of Northway Road, more particu- <br /> larly described in Exhibit A and shown on Exhibit B, attached <br /> hereto and forming a part hereof, is hereby approvedo <br /> <br />Section 2. The appropriate City officials are authorized to execute <br /> a quitclaim deed to Morrison Homes, Inc., to be recorded in <br /> the office of the Alameda County Recorder, together with a <br /> copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 10, 1978, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />~t~nnE.
