Res. 79-95 Page 2 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS , a representative of Rhodes & Jamieson, at a public hearing on June 12, 1979 admitted that the companies should have provided this information, but were reluctant to do so; and a representative of Lone Star stated he would not reveal the traffic data required by the 1972 Agreement; and only gross figures on an annual basis were provided for at the June 12 meeting, without supporting date and without quarterly and annual reports of each producer; and the City has made counts and estimates based on those counts; said estimates are included in the Staff Report dated June 4, 1979, which is attached hereto as Exhibit B and incorporated by reference herein; and the City's estimates (on pages 5-7 of Exhibit B) indicate an increase of substantial magnitude in truck traffic on Stanley Boulevard, First Street, and Sunol Boulevard; and the failure of the Producers to timely submit their reports on traffic volume reduces the reliability of any figures submitted during a controversy and of the gross figures supplied during the public hearing on June 12, 1979; and the City has received letters, complaints or communi- cations from residents of the City regarding: Traffic hazards produced by intimidation of other driversi by gravel truck traffic; 2. Dust and gravel caused by gravel trucks causing broken windshields and other damage to cars; Traffic hazard caused by heavy gravel truck traffic along the route children take to Pleasanton School and Amador High School; and the City has determined that traffic congestion at the intersection of First Street, Ray Street and Vineyard Avenue, is caused in part by slow starting gravel trucks slowing the proper flow of traffic of that intersection; and the City received the following information at its public hearing on June 12, 1979 with regard to impacts
