Res. 79-95 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />a representative of Rhodes & Jamieson, at a public hearing <br />on June 12, 1979 admitted that the companies should have <br />provided this information, but were reluctant to do so; and <br /> <br />a representative of Lone Star stated he would not reveal <br />the traffic data required by the 1972 Agreement; and <br /> <br />only gross figures on an annual basis were provided for <br />at the June 12 meeting, without supporting date and <br />without quarterly and annual reports of each producer; and <br /> <br />the City has made counts and estimates based on those <br />counts; said estimates are included in the Staff Report <br />dated June 4, 1979, which is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit B and incorporated by reference herein; and <br /> <br />the City's estimates (on pages 5-7 of Exhibit B) <br />indicate an increase of substantial magnitude in truck <br />traffic on Stanley Boulevard, First Street, and Sunol <br />Boulevard; and <br /> <br />the failure of the Producers to timely submit their <br />reports on traffic volume reduces the reliability of any <br />figures submitted during a controversy and of the gross <br />figures supplied during the public hearing on June 12, <br />1979; and <br /> <br />the City has received letters, complaints or communi- <br />cations from residents of the City regarding: <br /> <br />Traffic hazards produced by intimidation of other <br />driversi by gravel truck traffic; <br /> <br />2. Dust and gravel caused by gravel trucks causing <br /> broken windshields and other damage to cars; <br /> <br />Traffic hazard caused by heavy gravel truck traffic <br />along the route children take to Pleasanton School <br />and Amador High School; and <br /> <br />the City has determined that traffic congestion at the <br />intersection of First Street, Ray Street and Vineyard <br />Avenue, is caused in part by slow starting gravel trucks <br />slowing the proper flow of traffic of that intersection; <br />and <br /> <br />the City received the following information at its <br />public hearing on June 12, 1979 with regard to impacts <br /> <br /> <br />
