WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-201 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN <br />APPLICATION OF THE PLANNING CO~.~ISSION TO REZONE AN ' <br />APPROXIMATELY 95 ACRE PARCEL LOCATED EAST OF THE DEV- <br />ELOPED PORTION OF THE FAIRLANDS AREA (BOUNDED GENERALLY <br />BY 1-580 ON THE NORTH, THE CITY LIMITS ON THE EAST, THE <br />ARROYO MOCHO ON THE SOUTH, AND EXISTING DEVELOPMENT ON <br />THE WEST) FROM THE R-1-6500 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL- <br />6,500 SQo FT. MINIMUM LOT SIZE) DISTRICT TO THE R-i- <br />10,000 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL-10,000 SQ. FT. MINIMUM <br />LOT SIZE) DISTRICT OR ANY OTHER ZONING DISTRICT CONSIS- <br />TENT WITH THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of October 23, 1979, <br />received a proposed negative declaration for an application <br />of the Planning Commission to rezone an approximately 95 <br />acre parcel located east of the developed portion of the <br />Fairlands area (bounded generally by 1-580 on the north, <br />the City limits on the east, the Arroyo Mocho on the south, <br />and existing development on the west) from the R-1-6500 <br />(Single-Family Residential-6,500 sq~ ft. minimum lot size) <br />District ot the R-l-10,000 (Single-Family Residential- <br />10,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) District or any other <br />zoning district consistent with the General Plan (hereinafter <br />referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed rezoning is a project <br />for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared <br />for the Project; and <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of October 23, 1979, also <br />received that Initial Study dated August 1, 1979; and <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Dec- <br />laration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation;and <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
