Resolution No. 79-254

A symbol intended to represent a BART station shall
be added to the General Plan Map on or adjacent to the
eastern segment of the Mall Road.

4. A similar symbol shall be placed in the vicinity of
the downtown BART station site.

5. The legend of the General Plan Map shall be revised to
show and describe the BART station symbol.

6. The text of the Land Use and Circulation Element of
the General Plan be amended by adding the following:

These stations are indicated on the General Plan Map
by the letter B. In neither case is this symbol intended
to represent the exact location of the stations. With
regard to the shopping center location, the station is
envisioned as being elevated and occupying the air space
above the eastern portion of the Stoneridge Mall Road.
(For graphic reasons only the station and track right-
of-way are shown to the east of the Mall Road. This
is in no way intended to indicate that these facilities
will be on the private property east of that road.)
Parking for the shopping center station will probably
be in multi-level parking structures adjacent to the
facility. The specific location of these structures is
also unknown at this time.

Section 2. The City Council further directs that a letter of agreement
shall be entered into stating the restrictions The Taubman
Company has agreed upon at the City Council meeting of
December 11, 1979, concerning the development of the
aforementioned 26 acre site.

Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately.

THIS _RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 11, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:

AYES: Councilmembers - Butler,
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

ATTEST:

By: Doris George, Deputy City Clerk

Kephart, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes

/ /

ev/iAe~0rney
