CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-254 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE TAUB~N COMPANY, INC. FOR AN AMENDmeNT TO THE GENERAL PLAN WHICH WOULD CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF THE EASTERN 23 ACRES OF THE 26 ACRE SITE LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF FOOTHILL ROAD AND STONERIDGE DRIVE FROM "PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL" TO "CO~MERCIAL AND OFFICES" AND WHICH WOULD RELOCATE THE FUTURE BART LINE AND ~KE VARIOUS TEXT CHANGES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RELOCATED BART LINE WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 11, 1979, the City Council received an application requesting that the City of Pleasanton General Plan be amended to change a certain land use designation; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of December 11, 1979, considered the report, together with attachments from the Director of Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed General Plan Amendments; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on said amendment; and ~/HEPd~AS, after the close of the public hearing the City Council delib- erated upon the proposed amendment considering the information set forth in the staff reports and attachments thereto, as well as the information contained in the initial study leading to the Negative Declaration for said project; and WHEREAS, in order to change the land use designation of the site it was determined to be necessary to relocate the proposed BART line; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council directs the following changes be made tO the Land Use and Circulation Element of the General Plan: The General Plan Map shall be amended to show the BART route extended further east along highway 1-580 then swinging south adjacent to the eastern portion of the Stoneridge Mall Road to intersect the existing route alignment at Stoneridge Drive. The easternmost approximately 23 acres of the 26,146 acre parcel located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Foothill Road and Stoneridge Drive shall have its General Plan land use designation changed from "Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices."
