CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-254 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE TAUB~N <br />COMPANY, INC. FOR AN AMENDmeNT TO THE GENERAL PLAN WHICH <br />WOULD CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF THE EASTERN <br />23 ACRES OF THE 26 ACRE SITE LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST <br />CORNER OF FOOTHILL ROAD AND STONERIDGE DRIVE FROM "PUBLIC <br />AND INSTITUTIONAL" TO "CO~MERCIAL AND OFFICES" AND WHICH <br />WOULD RELOCATE THE FUTURE BART LINE AND ~KE VARIOUS <br />TEXT CHANGES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RELOCATED BART LINE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 11, 1979, the City Council <br />received an application requesting that the City of Pleasanton <br />General Plan be amended to change a certain land use <br />designation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of December 11, 1979, <br />considered the report, together with attachments from the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development regarding <br />the proposed General Plan Amendments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the <br />public was offered the opportunity to address the City Council <br />on said amendment; and <br /> <br />~/HEPd~AS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council delib- <br />erated upon the proposed amendment considering the information <br />set forth in the staff reports and attachments thereto, <br />as well as the information contained in the initial study <br />leading to the Negative Declaration for said project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to change the land use designation of the site it was <br /> determined to be necessary to relocate the proposed BART line; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council directs the following changes be made <br /> tO the Land Use and Circulation Element of the General Plan: <br /> <br />The General Plan Map shall be amended to show the BART <br />route extended further east along highway 1-580 then <br />swinging south adjacent to the eastern portion of the <br />Stoneridge Mall Road to intersect the existing route <br />alignment at Stoneridge Drive. <br /> <br />The easternmost approximately 23 acres of the 26,146 <br />acre parcel located at the northeast corner of the <br />intersection of Foothill Road and Stoneridge Drive shall <br />have its General Plan land use designation changed from <br />"Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices." <br /> <br /> <br />
