CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 80-61 APPROVING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES REPORT AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO COMMUNICATE TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION CITY COUNCIL'S OBJECTION TO INCLUDING HAPPY VALLEY ROAD IN ANNEXATION NO. 77 WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 28, 1979, the City Council formally initiated the annexation of property known as Annexation No. 77 with the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO); and WHEREAS, the Alameda County Public Works Agency has recommended that the area of this annexation be extended to include the por- tion of Happy Valley Road from the intersection with Pleasanton- Sunol Road easterly to the point where the highway right-of-way is no longer contiguous to the boundary of the City or the pro- posed annexation; and WHEREAS, at the Council meeting of March 11, 1980, a report was received from the Director of Public Works and Utilities for the City of Pleasanton recommending that Council by formal resolution object to including Happy Valley Road in Annexation No. 77 for specific reasons set forth in his report (a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein). NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Objects to including Happy Valley Road in Annexation No. 77 and requests the City Clerk to forward a copy of this resolution to the Local Agency Formation Commission and to Alameda County Public Works Agency. Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately.
