(d) Traffic Analysis

The City of Pleasanton urges that the further report of the
traffic consultant (Supplement, page 6) be made available for
review prior to completion of the Final EIRo

8. Road Damage

Quarry trucks have been discussed in light of their potential
impacts on traffic levels, circulation, noise, and dust proliferation.
However, these vehicles may have an impact on the physical conditions
of the City roads over the proposed twenty year life period of the
quarry operations. Any impacts and mitigation measures should be
identified.

9. Alternatives to the Project

The Supplement states that the site is ideally situated to provide
fill to the Hopyard Road area where large industrial/commercial
development is projected. It should be noted that conditions
of project approval in these areas have required that fill reach
the site via 1-580/Hopyard in order to mitigate noise impacts of
trucks on the residential portions of Stoneridge Drive/Hopyard Road.
Similar conditions are anticipated for future development. The
Moller site, having to use 1-580/Hopyard, is scarcely closer to
these potential fill users than quarries off Tassajara, Fallon,
and Croak Roads, and the latter would be much quicker with no
Foothill Road traffic signals to negotiate.

-4-
