Section 9. <br /> <br />Holidays' <br /> <br />9.1 <br /> <br />Holiday Pay <br /> <br />Fifty-six' (56) hour work week employees shall be com- <br />pensated for working holidays each year through receipt <br />of holiday in lieu pay. This compensation shall be <br />seven and one-half percent (7-1/2%) of the emp!oyee's <br />annual salary, exclusive of any overtime. Such com- <br />pensation shall be paid in two equal installments. <br />Such payments are to be made on the first pay day after <br />December 1 and the first pay day after June 1. <br /> <br />Employees shall receive prorated holiday pay upon <br />termination. <br /> <br />Section 10. Acting Officer Pay <br /> <br /> In the absence of the assigned officer, a Firefighter <br /> will act as a Lieutenant only on Squad ~61. A Lieutenant <br /> will act as a CapGain in the latter's absence only if no <br /> other Captain is available for.work <br /> <br /> Employees serving as acting officers for two (2) hours <br /> or-more shall receive the minimum rate of pay for the <br /> classifi~atioE. in which they are serving for all hours <br /> so worked provided, however that said rate.of pay is- <br /> at leash five percent (5%) above their regular rate of <br /> pay. <br /> <br />Use of-acting officers will not be employed as a'per- <br />manent-method of filling vacant officer positions. <br /> <br />Section 1~. Aerial Apparatus Operator's Pay <br /> <br />At such time as the fire department's aerial apparatus <br />is placed into service, the employee on each shift <br />assigned to operate said apparatus shall r~eive in <br />addition to his/her regular ~te'of pay,--anamount equal <br />to five percent (5%) of his/her regular hourly~te~ for <br />each houz served on d6ty in.said assignment. Up'6n the <br />approval of the Fire Chief the person assigned to operate <br />the aerial apparatus shall be the most senior firefighter <br />in the fi~e station to which the apparatus is~ssigned. <br /> <br />Section 12.1 <br /> <br />Vacations <br /> <br />Vacation Eligibility <br /> <br />All employees shall be entitled to annual vacation leave <br />with pay excep~ the following: <br /> <br />(1) Employees who have served less than six(6) months <br /> in the service of the City. ? <br /> <br />(2) ' Employees who work on a ~rovisional basis. <br /> <br /> <br />
