CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1721 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br /> OF SECURITY CAPITAL PACIFIC TRUST/ <br /> PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF <br /> AMERICA FOR PUD PLAN APPROVAL FOR A <br /> 540-UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX, AS FILED <br /> UNDER CASE PUD-81-30-71D <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Security Capital Pacific Trust and Prudential Insurance Company have <br /> applied for Planned Unit Development plan approval to construct a 540-unit <br /> apartment complex on an approximately 26.5 acre site (Lot 60, Hacienda <br /> Business Park) generally located south of the intersection of Hacienda and <br /> Owens Drives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - HDR (High <br /> Density Residential) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed PUD plan is exempt from the requirements of the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), because impacts of development were <br /> analyzed previously through the original Initial Study adopted in 1991; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendations for approval <br /> of the PUD plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on September 2, 1997; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the proposed PUD plan is consistent with <br /> the General Plan and purposes of the PUD ordinance, and that the proposed <br /> project is appropriate for the site. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves Case PUD-81-30-71D, the application of Security Capital Pacific <br /> Trust and Prudential Insurance Company for PUD plan approval to <br /> construct a 540-unit apartment complex on an approximately 26.5 acre site <br /> (Lot 60, Hacienda Business Park) generally located south of the intersection <br /> of Hacienda and Owens Drives, subject to the conditions shown on "Exhibit <br /> B ", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> <br />
