Sources of information for this table included California's Wildlife, Volumes I, II, and III (Zeiner
et. al 1988), California Natural Diversity Data Base (CDFG 2008), Endangered and Threatened
Wildlife and Plants (USFWS 2008), State and Federally Listed Endangered and Threatened
Animals of California (CDFG 2008), and The California Native Plant Society's Inventory of
Rare and Endangered Vascular Plants of California (CNPS 2001). This information was used
to evaluate the potential for special status plant and animal species that occur on the site. Figures
2 and 3 depict the location of special status species found by the California Natural Diversity
Data Base (CNDDB). It is important to note that the CNDDB is a volunteer database; therefore,
it may not contain all known or gray literature records.
A search of published accounts for all of the relevant special status plant and animal species was
conducted for the Livennore U.S.G.S 7.5 minute quadrangle in which the project site occurs, and
for the eight surrounding quadrangles (Dublin, Diablo, Tassajara, Byron Hot Springs, Altamont,
Mendenhall Springs, La Costa Valley, and Niles) using the California Natural Diversity Data
Base Rarefind 2008. Plant species reviewed for these quadrangles included those on CNPS List
lA, 1B, 2, and 4.
12
Ironwood 55+ Biotic Evaluation Live Oak Associates, Inc.
