know they would do it for me if I asked. When getting the
chickens out of the pen in the morning, they were pretty cute to
watch. They are orderly and pretty quiet. The pen is very clean
and does not smell. I do not detect any kind of odor or see any
flies or other untoward animals that might be attracted to this
pen. They keep the yard and garden tidy. Sarah grows lots of
vegetables and f lowers. She's quite the 'Martha' on the block.
The Hudson's are wonderful neighbors and I'm happy they live on
our block where we have a camaraderie.
I hope you will continue to allow these hens to remain on the
property.
Thank you for your consideration. Hudson
I have received the notice regarding the public hearing on the Hudson's request to have four hens
in their back yard on Malaga Court. Given all the hullabaloo surrounding a similar request near
the Sports Park, I wanted to make sure that I write in to make my opinion known. For the record,
I support the Hudsons in their request and hope they find joy in their new pets and lots of fresh
eggs for their family. I hope my Vintage Hills neighbors do the same.
Also for the record, I think iYs a ridiculous waste of time that they even have to come to the city to
ask permission to have a few chickens, while anyone can get four cats or dogs without having to
do the same. Until recently, there were sheep very near the address in question. I'm sad to see
them go, and sadder still that Pleasanton is becoming a city where parents can't introduce their
kids to the responsibilities and rewards of raising a couple of chickens without getting dragged
before the planning commission.
Patricia Haller
890 Sylvaner Drive
Pleasanton
