Ms. Acosta said that she has raceivcd the material, Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services, will work with Paula Wujek. They are about to send out to the Youth Commissioners information about the ConR:rence and a description as to what would actually be involved, to see what sort of interest there might be from the Commissioners. This is with a clear understanding that if we are interested in sending any of these lblks to the Conference, they would be assigned to Councilmembers to go to the sessions, although Ms. Wujek would actually be in charge nfstudents. Given the fact that this is the very beginning of school, it may be very bad timing for them to be out for a couple of days. We are going to explain the details and communicate with the parents so that they understand what the expectations are and what the possibilities are, to see what kind of interest there is. We will bring that to you with a recommendation on whether any students are attending, what number of students might be attending, and if there is an interest. We think it would be extremely valuable for them if they can attend and if they were interested in attending under the expectations we would have with their attendance.
