Mr. Campbell stated that the Engiueer's estimate for this project was $31,500.- <br />00. He also stated that the project consists of full improvement to two unim- <br />proved sections of Sunol Boulevard in the vicinity of Mission Park Subdivision <br />and the resurfacing of the main traveled portion of Sunol Boulevard from Minnie <br />Street to the vicinity of Freeway 680 Interchange. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br />Resolution No. 69-123, awarding the contract to A. K~use for a portion of Amador Valley com~~ <br />Park for raising..and harvesting crops <br /> Mr. Hirst reviewed the proposed lease agreement with the City and Mr. Roy <br />Kruse. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br />Resolution No. 69-124, authorizing the execution of the Lease Agreement with Roy <br />Kruse for a portion of Amador Valley Community Park for raising and harvesting <br />crops, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, and Vice-Mayor Spiliotopoulos <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid and Mayor Gerton <br /> <br /> Mr. Lowell Wendell, President of the Pleasanton Valley Homeowners Association, <br />requested that a fire break be made between the property Mr. Kruse is farming and <br />the back fences of the homes. He stated that one grass fire had already occurred <br />in the area. He also requested that the chain link fence in that area be repaired <br />that teenage children had damaged. Mr. Fales assured him that the teenagers would <br />be controlled from causing any further damage to this fence. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hirst explained his letter to and answer from Senator Clark L- Bradley <br />regarding Senate Bill 994, having to do with Park Dedication. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />From Mr. Charles.Foscalina~ Parade Chairman-Livermore Rodeo Assn. Re: Participa- <br />tion in the Rodeo Parade <br /> Mr. Fales read Mr. Foscalina's invitation to the City Council to attend the <br />annual Rodeo Parage. Bay Fill LeRislation <br /> Mr. Fales suggested that this letter be discussed at the same time as when <br />the City takes a position on this Legislation. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Beratlis read a list of the outstanding accomplishments of the <br />Pleasanton Jaycees and of the distinctive awards they have received.
