REPORTSOF'THE'CITY MANAGER Report of the Director of Public Works Re: Grant for Base-Mapping and T.raffic .~nventory Mr. Fales explained the report of the Director of Public Works, which recommended participation in the Traffic Safety Grant, with the City of Livermore and the unincorporated areas of Alameda County in apply- ing'for a'grant to be used for Base-Mapping and Traffic Inventory. Mr. Fales further explained that the City will recieve the benefit of some $200,000 worth of study for approximately $9,000.00. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Gerton that Resolution No. 71-1~..authorizing the City of Pleasanton entering into a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement with the County of Alameda and the City of Livermore regarding development of a base- map and traffic inventory, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and NOES: None Mayor Reid ABSENT: None MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mr. John Ruane, 4258 Churchill Drive, complained about his guest being parked in front of his home and was cited for parking within 15 feet of the fire hydrant which happens to located in front of his house. Mr. Ruane felt this citation was unreasonable and ex- plained that if he parked his own car in his driveway, he also would be parked within 15 feet of this hydrant. Mr. Ted Lannin, 5372 Ridgevale Road, questioned Councilman Spilio- -- topoulos' conflict of interest in voting for Ordinance No. 633, which approved the rezoning application of the Costanzo-Wilson Development Company. Councilman Spiliotopoulos stated that Costanzo-Wilson Development Company are equal partners with him in the Cheese Store in Santa Cruz and that he has no legal conflict of interest in the above mentioned subdivision.
