Councilmember Butler stated he favored a study of organization to obtain staff <br />comments on the proposal, but felt the positions should be filled now. <br /> <br />Planning <br /> Mr. Brown advised Council that the cost of two Planning Commission meetings per <br />month would cost approximately $500.00 per year. <br /> <br />ABAG <br /> Councilmember Kephart stated that after reviewing the function of ABAG, in <br />addition to staff comments at the last meeting plus other information, it reveals <br />the value of ABAG. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, to <br />re-instate ABAG in the budget and to allocate $905.00 for dues for this organiza- <br />tion. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, and Wood <br />NOES: Mayor Brandes <br />ABSEnt: Councilman Mercer <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Program <br /> Mr. Brown explained the 1979-80 portion of the three-year Capital Improvement <br />Program and discussed changes recommended from the three-year Program discussed a <br />few months ago. Mr. Campbell explained the projects that are a part of the multi- <br />year projects. Council discussion ensued regarding the effect of the railroad <br />track consolidation project and possible loss of gravel truck revenue on the Capital <br />Improvement Program. <br /> <br />tXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> ~yor Brandes recessed the meeting at 10:00 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br />discuss litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes reconvened the meeting at 10:30 P.M. No action was taken in <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />ADJOURnmENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:30 P.M., Mayor Brandes adjourned the <br />meeting, to meet again in Regular Session on June 12, 1979, 8:00 P.M., Fairgrounds <br />Cafeteria. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> LAYTON .
