Adoption of Resolution for 89-353, approving the request <br /> of Tri-Valley Haven to charge admission to the softball <br /> complex for the benefit event on August 27, 1989. <br /> (SR 89:369) <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmember Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK PRESENTATION <br />Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area Draft Use-Development Plan <br />and Environmental Impact Report <br /> <br /> Ms. Jocelyn Combs, member of the Board of the East Bay <br />Regional Park District (EBRPD), introduced the subject and asked <br />Ms. Maxine Terner, Chief of Parkland Planning, to present the <br />report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Terner focused on the issues identified in the planning <br />process as outlined in the summary. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer commended the development plan and stated that <br />should the recreation area be annexed to the City of Pleasanton, <br />he would like the City Council and the Park and Recreation <br />Commission to have some control over the expansion of activities <br />there. <br /> <br /> Ms. Terner pointed out that the Liaison Committee could have <br />discussions with them on this matter while the guidelines for the <br />development plan are being worked out. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer inquired if the Liaison Committee could also work <br />with them on an annexation agreement that the Council could look <br />at and vote on; should the annexation take place, the City would <br />provide the sewer service that the recreation area needs. <br /> <br /> Ms. Terner replied that it could be done. <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler asked what increase in parking space the plan had, <br />and if the restriction regarding walk-in access took into account <br />those who park on Stanley Blvd. and walk into the park. <br /> <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> 8-15-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
