She indicated <br />she and others were tired of the development. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if Ms. Varela could be assured that projects on the five major <br />properties would be put to a vote of the people, would she be satisfied? <br /> <br /> Ms. Varela felt that some measures on past ballots were not worded in such a way <br />that really dealt with problems raised by the public. She was not convinced anything <br />would change and she did not trust the Council. She wanted the CAPP Initiative to be <br />passed. <br /> <br />Mayor Tarver appreciated the comments about CAPP, but that is an item for the election <br />in November. It has occurred in the past that Council business cannot get conducted <br />because the Meeting Open to the Public is used as a forum for debating election issues. <br />He was concerned that Council get its business done and suggested moving the Meeting <br />Open to the Public to the end of the agenda until after the election. It is not fair to those <br />on the agenda to have to wait. <br /> <br />6.
