18.08.140 <br />18.08.140 District: <br />"District" means a portion of the City <br />within which the use of land and struc- <br />tures and the location, height and bulk <br />of structures are governed by this <br />Chapter. (Ord. 1743, 1998; Prior Code <br />18.08.145 Drive-In: <br />"Drive-in" means an establishment <br />selling food or beverages to customers, <br />some or all of whom customarily con- <br />sume their purchases outdoors in or <br />near their cars. (Ord. 1743, 1998; Prior <br />Code § 2-5.19(a)) <br />18.08.150 Driveway: <br />"Driveway" means a private road, the <br />use of which is limited to persons re- <br />siding or working on the site and their <br />invitees, licensees and business visitors, <br />and which provides access to off-street <br />parking or loading facilities. (Ord. <br />1743, 1998; Prior Code § 2-5.19(b)) <br />18.08.155 Dwelling: <br />"Dwelling" means a one-family or <br />multi-family dwelling other than <br />mobilehomes, automobile trailers, ho- <br />tels, motels, labor camps, camp cars, <br />tents, railroad cars and temporary struc- <br />tures. (Ord. 1743, 1998; Prior Code <br />18.08.160 Dwelling Unit: <br />"Dwelling unit" means one or more <br />rooms with a single kitchen, designed <br />for occupancy by one family for living <br />and sleeping purposes. (Ord. 1743, <br />1998; Prior Code § 2-5.19(d)) <br />18.08.165 Family: <br />"Family" means an individual or two <br />(2) or more persons related by blood, <br />marriage or adoption, or a group of not <br />more than five (5) persons, not includ- <br />ing servants, who need not be related, <br />living as a single housekeeping unit. <br />(Ord. 1743, 1998; Prior Code <br />18.08.170 Family Daycare Home: <br />"Family daycare home" means a <br />home which regularly provides care, <br />protection and supervision of children <br />in the provider's own home for periods <br />of less than twenty four (24) hours per <br />day while the children's parents or <br />guardians are away, including the fol- <br />lowing: <br />A. Small family daycare home - a <br />home providing family daycare to six <br />(6) or fewer children, including chil- <br />dren who reside at the home; <br />B. Large family daycare home - a <br />home providing family daycare to sev- <br />en (7) to twelve (12) children, inclu- <br />sive, including children who reside at <br />the home. (Ord. 1743, 1998; Ord. 1126 <br />§ 1, 1984; Prior Code § 2-5.19(f)) <br />18.08.175 Firearm: <br />"Firearm" means a gun, pistol, re- <br />volver, rifle or any device, designed or <br />modified to be used as a weapon, from <br />480_ 1 (Pleasanton 5-99) <br />
