CITY OF PLEASANTON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN FY2024-2028 <br />Establish Yearly Priority Goals, Performance <br />Benchmarks & Evaluation <br />The Economic Development Division will take the lead in <br />expanding the City’s organizational capacity to administer <br />cutting-edge economic development initiatives through <br />definition, collection and evaluation of performance metrics. <br />Facilitate Ongoing Enhancement of Infrastructure <br />Necessary to Support Citywide Economic Development <br />Track business/developer feedback regarding water, wastewater, <br />transportation (roads and transit), power, telecommunications, <br />and housing gaps for consideration by the City’s biannual Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP) and budget process. <br />Adopt & Incorporate DEI Best Practices in <br />Economic Development <br />The City will establish an internal and public-facing culture <br />of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) through identification, <br />expanded outreach and event programming to historically <br />underrepresented and currently underserved business <br />communities. This effort will also include an update to the City’s <br />Business License application to gather key demographic data. <br />Formalize Community & Business Partnerships <br />The Economic Development Division will continue to leverage <br />existing regional strategic partnerships through expanded <br />collaboration on the implementation of the City’s new Business <br />Retention, Expansion and Attraction Program. <br />Create & Disseminate an Annual Economic <br />Development Report <br />Compile data from each economic development initiative to <br />measure investment, business, and employment activity in an <br />annual performance measures update. <br />1.1 <br />1.2 <br />1.3 <br />1.4 <br />1.5 <br />KEY INITIATIVES
