The exclusion zone <br />shall be fenced with orange construction <br />zone and erosion control fencing (to be <br />installed by construction crew). The <br />exclusion zone shall encompass the <br />maximum practicable distance from the <br />work site and at least 500 feet from the <br />aquatic feature wet or dry. <br />• A qualified Biologist shall conduct pre- <br />construction surveys prior to construction <br />activities (before groundbreaking). If <br />individuals are found, work shall not begin <br />until they are moved out of the <br />construction zone to a United States Fish <br />and Wildlife Service (USFWS) or California <br />Department of Fish and Wildlife CDFW-) <br />approved relocation site. <br />• A Service-approved Biologist shall be <br />present for initial ground-disturbing <br />activities. <br />• If the work site is within the typical <br />dispersal distance (contact USFWS/CDFW <br />for latest research on this distance for <br />species of interest) of potential breeding <br />habitat, barrier fencing shall be <br />constructed around the worksite to <br />prevent amphibians from entering the
